All right confession time I was a huge Tetris fanatic when I was growing up and if you’ve seen any of my other overly organized videos you know that I continue to play Tetris with everyday items around the house to this day today.
I’m sharing the three methods I use at my bedside and also my bathroom sink area to maximize my vertical storage space and make my get ready routine as efficient and effective as I possibly can so keep watching to discover what they are all right so let me walk you through how I revamped my bedside and my bathroom sink area to make the most out of my vertical space so.
I use three creative organizing Solutions the first one is hanging Pockets the second one is Hooks and the third one is metal rings so next to the bedside I created a system for organizing my remotes years ago when we used to have to contend with multiple remotes to control the TV the stereo the ceiling fan the overhead light so I used to have velcro strips but I eventually graduated to these hanging Pockets which are phenomenal because they’re easy to grab and put away the remotes in the dark when I’m half asleep so next up in the bathroom on my wall cabinet I’ve got these really functional vinyl cling pockets so these are really fantastic they are sticking to the inside of my wall cabinet which happens to be all mirrored and I have my buor nose strips stored here so it makes it really easy for me to reach for one and do a quick pore cleanse when I jump out of the shower and my skin is perfectly primed to clean out and.
I try to use these like two to three times a month so this is a super handy placement and it just keeps all of those single use packets really well organized and easy to reach so this wall cabinet is from Ikea it is the Good Morgan mirror cabinets and I absolutely love these things they have tons of space as you can see but I love the fact that they are mirrored on both the inside and the outside so I often will just leave the doors open and I just use the mirrors on the inside when I’m applying my products or brushing my teeth or whatever task I’m doing I absolutely love these cabinets when we redid this bathroom this is definitely one of my favorite pieces that we included in the bathroom remodel super functional incredible amount of storage so on this door I have another one of those vinyl Pockets but this one is great it holds my toothbrush and my floss in tool and this is super convenient there’s actually vent holes in the bottom of these Pockets so everything dries it stays upright.
I don’t have to set anything on the side on the countertop and I don’t have to worry about things getting knocked over and trying to make sure they stand upright so I absolutely love having this little Dental station right here on the door and then just above that I have these hooks from the Dollar Tree and this is where I hang my wrist scrunchies these are phenomenal to have on your wrist when you’re washing your face it stops the water from rolling down your forearm and getting all over the countertops so I love these and over on the opposite door I have these 3M Command hooks and.
I use these with binder clips to hang my squeezable tube products like my toothpaste or my prescription trainman the binder clips are great because I can roll down the packaging as it gets empty and it hangs so I have gravity at my side and so it’s a perfect place to store those kind of tube packaging products so moving on I also use hooks to store my hair tools so for the tools that come with a spot I will attach a twist tie to create a loop to hang on the hook and if the tool has nothing I will just use the velcro strip to create a loop with the cord and it works perfectly with the hook and it’s easy to grab and then place it back when I’m done using it here.
I have a different version of the hanging vinyl pocket for my flat iron by holster so this handy pouch actually doubles as my travel buddy because it’s got this nice long flap at the top that I can use to protect the countertops and also I’m able to hang my flat iron off the side of the countertop whenever we’re traveling which is always handy last but not least I have these wall mounted metal rings that keep my dryer and my curling iron within Arm’s Reach and super handy this is yet another bit of inspiration that I got from when I worked at a salon and a day spa so whether I washed my hair and need to do like a full hair styling or if I’m working with day old hair and I just need to add a little curl or make it look nice for day two I have got all the tools.
I need right here in this corner they’re easy to grab they’re easy to put away in a snap so yeah these are my creative organizing solutions that make my daily routines a whole lot easier I hope that you enjoyed these methods for maximizing your vertical space if you did please give this video a thumbs up it really helps to get my content circulated to others who may find it helpful and consider subscribing for even more creativity organization and self-care focused content the button is right there on the screen you can also watch more of my overly organized series by clicking the playlist right here on the screen I hope to see you in my next video and until then have a good one.
